Vintage Yellow ‘Kissy Lips’ Ceramic Pie Bird Funnel

A puckered expression, warm yellow glaze and feather details with plenty of personality.

This vintage ‘Kissy Lips’ pie bird gives a traditional baking tool an expressive face. Yellow colouring, with peach and orange accents, brings warmth to the ceramic form, while the feather detailing adds interest around the back.

Originally designed to release steam from beneath a pie crust, it combines practical purpose with a playful approach to kitchenware. At 11 cm tall, its distinctive shape makes it noticeable among more simply styled baking pieces.

Display it beside plain mixing bowls or cookbooks, where the colour and expression can take the lead. It also works among contemporary ceramics, adding humour to a kitchen shelf without needing a whole themed arrangement.

An unusual piece of vintage kitchenalia for someone who enjoys everyday objects with personality.
