Vintage White Glazed Ceramic Pie Bird Funnel

A classic vintage white ceramic pie bird with an elegant bird shape, detailed wings and distinctive black painted eyes.

Originally designed as a practical baking tool, pie birds were placed inside homemade pies to release steam during cooking and help create crisp pastry. Once a familiar feature of traditional kitchens, they are now treasured for their nostalgic connection to home baking.

The graceful form and simple white ceramic finish give this little bird a timeless quality. It would sit beautifully amongst vintage kitchenalia, on open shelving or as part of a collection of traditional baking pieces.

A lovely vintage baking companion celebrating the charm of everyday kitchen objects.
