Vintage Tony Wood Little Old Lady Green Character Jug, 16 cm

A green bonnet, an expressive face and a jug with a personality of its own.

This vintage Tony Wood Studio ‘Little Old Lady’ jug combines a sculpted character with practical tableware. The green colourway gives the familiar design a distinctive appearance, drawing attention to the bonnet details and expressive face.

Made in Staffordshire, England, it reflects the humour of British character pottery. At 16 cm tall, this larger example has enough presence to stand alone while still fitting comfortably into a kitchen shelf display.

Use it for a loose bunch of seasonal flowers, or place it beside plain contemporary ceramics where the face and colour can take the lead. It also makes an unexpected focal point on a dining table or sideboard.

A distinctive piece of vintage pottery for someone who enjoys colour, humour and everyday objects with personality.
