A glossy black silhouette, an upturned beak and an earthy olive base.

This vintage ceramic pie bird stands on a moulded log base, its long neck stretching upwards to an open beak. The rounded body and sweeping wing detail give it a sculptural shape, while the olive-toned beak and base contrast with the deep black glaze.

A characterful piece of vintage kitchenware that earns its place on display. Set it among everyday crockery, beside a favourite cookery book or against a pale background to bring out its silhouette. Its dark finish also works beautifully in an autumn kitchen display without needing overtly seasonal decoration.
