Morris & Co. Bird & Pomegranate Bayleaf Cream Handcrafted Card, Leafy Branch

An arching brown branch and elongated leaves in olive and blue-green give this handcrafted card a flowing composition against a warm cream ground.

Handmade by me in Surrey using an original vintage Morris & Co. wallpaper sample, carefully cut and mounted onto a white card. The wallpaper preserves its texture and intricate detail, giving this repurposed fragment a new purpose.

Dating from 1926, Bird & Pomegranate was among the last block-printed wallpaper designs introduced by Morris & Co. Inspired by the earlier Fruit pattern, the full design combines birds, branching foliage and pomegranates. This particular cutting focuses on the graceful branches and detailed leaves.

Blank inside for your own words, this individual notecard suits birthdays, thank-you notes or a handwritten hello. The front photograph shows the card you will receive.
