An original 1930s Britains Ltd hollow cast lead farm figure depicting a farmer’s wife in traditional rural dress, complete with pastel pink dress, white apron, woven basket and umbrella.

Part of the much loved Britains Model Home Farm Series, this charming miniature figure was created during a period when Britains expanded beyond military models to celebrate scenes of everyday countryside life. Introduced in 1923, the Home Farm range became highly regarded by collectors for its detailed characters and nostalgic storytelling.

This example features the distinctive articulated right arm, which swivels at the shoulder, adding an extra level of craftsmanship and movement to this tiny hand painted figure.
