A beautifully tiny 1920s Britains squirrel in hand painted lead, measuring just 1 cm high with a soft light brown finish and lovely woodland character.
At only 1 cm high and 1.5 cm deep, this is a genuinely tiny example of early Britains modelling. Despite its small proportions, the squirrel has a recognisable form and lively character, making it an especially appealing little survivor.
Made by Britains Ltd during the 1920s, this figure comes from the Farm Animals range, which included familiar animals and countryside subjects recreated in miniature lead. The soft brown painted finish has naturally worn with age, giving the squirrel an authentic aged appearance.
