A tiny antique Black Forest bear, hand carved from wood with expressive features, glass eyes and a beautifully aged surface.
This charming little bear is a wonderful example of the traditional Black Forest carving associated with Switzerland, where skilled makers created finely detailed wooden animals inspired by the surrounding Alpine landscape.
Despite measuring just 3 cm high, the carving has plenty of presence. The expressive face, carefully shaped body and tiny glass eyes give the bear an appealing sense of personality, while the naturally aged wood adds warmth and character.
