1950s Britains Zoo Series Lion Flat Lead Figure on Original Stand

A strong lion silhouette, an original green stand and a warm, timeworn surface.

This original 1950s lion was made by Britains Ltd for its Zoo Series. Cast as a flat lead figure on a stand, its distinctive profile gives it a sculptural quality. Noticeable paint loss has left an aged surface with warm rose gold tones.

At 7 cm long and 5 cm tall, the lion has presence while remaining easy to display. Its recognisable outline might recall a childhood animal set or simply appeal through a fondness for lions and unusual miniature objects.

Display it side on in a cabinet, printer’s tray or miniature zoo scene. Against a plain background, the flat profile stands out, adding a graphic animal detail beside books and contemporary ceramics.

A British zoo miniature with a bold outline and an individual aged finish.
