1930s Britains Cadbury Cococub Brother Rabbit Lead Figure in Green

A miniature rabbit in green, bringing a storybook detail to a shelf or cabinet.

This original 1930s Brother Rabbit figure was made by Britains for Cadbury’s Cococub series. Cast in hollow lead, he retains his original hand painted green finish, with light wear reflecting his age.

The Cococub characters were created by British illustrator Ernest Aris. Issued in pre war Cadbury Bournville Cocoa tins, these miniature figures brought his illustrated animals into everyday homes through Cadbury’s advertising.

At just 3.5 cm tall, Brother Rabbit makes an understated addition to a printer’s tray, small cabinet or shelf beside favourite books. Pair him with botanical prints and natural textures, or let his green outfit add a small accent among contemporary ceramics.

A tiny piece of British advertising history with an expressive, individual presence.
