A pink dress, white apron and woven basket, with an umbrella ready for a change in the weather.
This original 1930s Britains figure is known as Wife with Umbrella, model No. 503 from the Model Home Farm Series. Made in hollow cast lead and hand painted, she wears a bonnet style head covering and has an articulated right arm that swivels at the shoulder.
Her everyday accessories suggest a story beyond the miniature farmyard. Whether she recalls a childhood toy set or simply appeals for her clothing and pose, there is plenty to notice in this small countryside character.
At approximately 5.4 cm tall, she fits neatly into a printer’s tray, small cabinet or farm diorama. Display her beside favourite books or contemporary pottery, letting the pink dress introduce a small accent of colour.
A detailed rural figure with movement, individuality and a place in British toy history.
