1930s Britains Cadbury Cococub Silus Slink Fox Lead Figure

A fox with a walking cane and a distinctly timeworn finish.

This original 1930s Silus Slink figure was made by Britains Ltd for Cadbury’s Cococub series. His dark painted finish retains red and white clothing details, while heavier paint wear gives the miniature a muted, aged appearance.

The Cococub characters were created by British illustrator Ernest Aris. Issued in pre war Cadbury Bournville Cocoa tins, the figures brought his illustrated animals into everyday homes as part of Cadbury’s advertising.

At just 3.5 cm tall, Silus adds a storybook detail to a printer’s tray or small cabinet. Place him beside vintage nature books or woodland artwork, where his dressed figure and walking cane offer an unexpected companion to more traditional animal imagery.

A small fox with distinctive period detail and a visible history.
