1930s–1950s Cook & Co Manchester Haberdashery Advertising Tin

A pretty vintage advertising tin from Cook & Co of Manchester, originally made for storing textile ring travellers and decorated with an elegant period design.

The printed decoration has a lovely Art Nouveau influence, showing the care once given to even the most practical tins used in homes, shops and workshops. The combination of typography, pattern and aged metal gives it plenty of visual character.
