Pink and cream colouring gives this sturdy little farm pig a distinctive painted finish.
This original 1920s standing pig was made by Britains Ltd for its Farm Series. Its rounded body and straightforward stance capture the familiar shape of a farmyard pig, with some paint loss across the hand painted surface.
Measuring approximately 4 cm long, it has enough presence to display individually while fitting easily among other miniatures. It could recall a childhood toy farm, a connection to country life or simply a fondness for pigs.
Place it in a small cabinet, beside countryside books or within a farm diorama. Its pale colouring works well against dark wood or a green backdrop, where the outline and painted details can stand out.
An early British farm miniature with sturdy proportions and an individual aged finish.
