Practical clothing, a purposeful stance and a small connection to Britain’s farming past.
This original 1920s Britains Land Girl is model No. 535 from the Model Home Farm Series. Made in hollow cast lead, she retains her original green painted base and has an articulated right arm that swivels at the shoulder.
Her working clothes give this miniature a distinct identity, reflecting the women whose labour formed part of everyday countryside life. She might recall a childhood farm set, a family connection to agriculture or an interest in rural history.
At approximately 5.4 cm tall, she fits easily into a printer’s tray, small cabinet or farm diorama. Display her beside countryside books or contemporary pottery, where her small scale adds an unexpected human detail.
An early British farm miniature with movement, character and a story beyond the toy box.
