1920s Britains Lying Lamb Hand Painted Lead Farm Figure

A tiny resting lamb with textured wool and a soft beige painted finish.

This original 1920s lying lamb was made by Britains Ltd in hollow cast lead. Measuring approximately 2.5 cm, it combines a compact resting pose with finely modelled wool, giving even this small farm animal plenty to notice.

Its familiar shape might bring to mind lambing season, countryside walks or a childhood toy farm. The hand painted surface shows wear from its past, giving this individual figure its own appearance.

Place it in a printer’s tray, a small cabinet or a miniature farm scene. Its pale colouring stands out against a dark backdrop, while the resting pose works well beside standing sheep and other farm animals.

A small piece of British toy history with a quiet countryside appeal.
