This original 1920s standing pig was made by Britains Ltd for its Farm Series. Its elongated body and simple modelling capture the familiar shape of a farm pig, with considerable paint loss across the hand painted surface.
Larger than the tiny piglets in the range, it measures 4.5 cm from front to back. It makes an appealing individual animal for someone with a fondness for pigs, a connection to rural life or memories of childhood toy farms.
