I’m delighted to be heading back to Amble Market Days in Gomshall on Saturday 19th September, this time with Love Nicki x, and I’d love you to come and say hello.
Amble is a market I know particularly well, having previously been involved in helping running and marketing the fair. So it feels rather lovely to now be returning from the other side of the table, bringing along a selection from Love Nicki x.
I’ll be there from 9am to 3pm with vintage British ceramics, vintage homeware, curious little finds and my repurposed William Morris framed pieces. I’ll also be bringing some newer pieces from the collection, so it’s a lovely opportunity to see Love Nicki x in person and perhaps find something that catches your eye.
Amble is at 56 Station Road in Gomshall, right in the heart of the Surrey Hills. It’s a lovely setting for a Saturday morning, surrounded by countryside and with a real sense of local community. There’s plenty of on site parking, and the market is also easy to reach by train or bus from Guildford and Dorking. Dogs are very welcome too.
Alongside the vintage and handmade stalls, there will be plenty of local makers to browse, while the cafe will be serving local coffee and homemade cakes. I’m already thinking that a mid morning coffee and cake will be very much needed after setting up!
Make a day of it
If you’re coming from a little further afield, Gomshall makes a lovely starting point for a day in the Surrey Hills.
You could wander through nearby Shere, visit Albury Fisheries or pick up something delicious at Kingfisher Farm Shop. A little further along the road, Silent Pool is always worth a visit, with Silent Pool Gin, Mandira’s Kitchen and Albury Vineyard all close by.
There are also plenty of lovely country pubs nearby if you fancy settling in for a leisurely lunch before heading home.
For me, one of the nicest things about taking Love Nicki x out to markets is meeting the people who follow the collection online. And having known this event from behind the scenes, it feels particularly nice to now be there as Love Nicki x.
