Designed by William Morris in 1887, its interweaving branches and curling leaves give the pattern movement and rhythm. Presented beneath original glass in a vintage black and gilt wooden frame, the botanical detail contrasts with the darker surround.

Hang it above a console or combine it with photographs and modern artwork on a gallery wall. Its broad, almost square proportions add variety to an arrangement, while the green palette works alongside natural wood, warm neutrals and black accents.

Details & dimensions

Original vintage Morris & Co. wallpaper sample
Design: Willow Bough, by William Morris, 1887
Colour: Green tones
Vintage black and gilt wooden frame with original glass
Landscape orientation; ready to hang

Frame: 38.5 cm high × 42 cm wide × 2 cm deep
Visible aperture: 32.5 cm high × 35.5 cm wide

Condition

Good vintage condition, with light paint wear to the frame and a faint crease mark to the wallpaper sample.
